2014 Money and Prosperity Tip for Rooster

Rooster's are known for the management abilities. One of my clients, a classic Rooster, is the manager of several up and coming musical acts. She's handles everything from their booking, billings, transportation, even their social media. She's always juggling so many things she barely has time for her own life.

This year the Horse energy is crossing her path at a 90 degree angle. This means opportunities can come out of nowhere. And with her schedule as tight as it is she may not feel ready to take on any new acts no matter how much her gut tells her that these guys are going to be stars.

To prepare for the new opportunities coming this music manager needs to make a list of her projects (the bands) and write down briefly what they have been able to accomplish thus far and what she sees for them in the future. If a band is under-performing she doesn't need to do anything about it until the new opportunity shows up. When it does she will be ready to let go of what's not working and grab hold of what will work.

For Rooster, I gave the Feng Shui cure of a sailing ship in my book, Chinese Astrology 2014 Year of the WoodHorse. This was so the Rooster can sail through no matter how rough the seas get. If you're a Rooster go out and look for a picture of a sailing ship that's actually sailing. Don't use a boat that's moored, drifting, and especially avoid any haunted ghost ships. You're looking for a bright, happy picture of a sailboat sailing along on a calm day.

Place your picture so the boat appears to be sailing into the room. So the back of the boat would be pointed towards the door and the front of the boat would be pointed away from the door. If your boat is pointed out the door then the ship has to go out, get the gold, treasure and spices and bring them all the way back to you...that can be a long wait.

If you happen to already have a picture of a sailing ship in your home you can move it to a spot in your living room. Photographs work too. You can also use models of ships but make sure the model is free of dust. Ships in bottles are less effective because they are trapped in the bottle. Place the representation of the ship and you'll see opportunities come to your door.

2014 Feng Shui Money Remedy for People Born in the Year of the Dog

A couple of my clients, both of whom are born in the Year of the Dog, started out this year with a cold. Dog natives had a tough time last year in the Snake year and coming out of that into 2014 created a releasing some of the negative emotions and stuff that had built up. And for them this manifested into a cold.

If you're born in the Year of the Dog and you're in this situation you are probably feeling very impatient as you're waiting for your head to clear. You want to get to the good stuff this year, 2014, has to offer. But it's best not to push it. You will be able to move forward more quickly after a full recovery.

Give yourself a week or so to rest and heal. In the meantime you can move this process forward by energetically clearing your home. You can do this using sage and the Native American-inspired method of smudging. http://www.howtosmudge.com/

In my book, Chinese Astrology 2014 yearof the Wood Horse, I recommend sprinkling cinnamon on your front porch to attract money opportunities. You can take some cinnamon and toss it out there but you can also take some additional steps to increase the prosperity energy.

Preparing your porch and welcoming money: First make a visual examination of your porch. Does anything need to be repaired. If there's broken flower pots then toss them. If there's floor boards that are needing repairs then have this done as soon as possible. Remember all new energy comes into your life through the front door so you don't want any tripping hazards slowing energy down.

Move your welcome mat so you can sweep your porch. Sweep from the door outward and visualize all negative energy being swept away as you do. Then sprinkle the cinnamon and put the welcome mat back down. You can sprinkle a bit more cinnamon on top of the mat. When done right, Feng Shui cures bring results in the first week so watch for new money opportunities to come your way. Any money that comes, even a small amount, is a sign you did things right and that you can build on that energy.

Advice for Rats during 2014 Year of the Horse

If you're born in the Year of the Rat you might be feeling a little nervous as we enter the Horse year. Much of what you read in Chinese Astrology will say that Horse years are very bad for Rats. But there are lots of things you can do to make this a great year.

When the opposite animal to your own comes up it's said that animal will "steal your energy". For the next year a lot of attention will be paid to Horse. Which leaves only left-over energy for Rat. Little Rat doesn't want to get trampled by all this crazy energy. And you don't just want to survive, you want to prosper.

The solution is to distract the Horse from taking your energy. One great distraction is a Tiger. The Tiger is an animal that is both friendly to Horse and to you, born year of the Rat. In the business world this is like networking with influential friends who can open doors of opportunity for you, doors that may not open if it was just you knocking.

I suggest you find yourself a representation of a Tiger. It can be a picture, statue, piece of jewelry, tiger-print shirt, bedspread, the gemstone Tiger's Eye, a little stuffed tiger...you get the idea. And have this around you especially during periods where you want to have energy and opportunity for success.
