When the opposite animal to your own comes up it's said that animal will "steal your energy". For the next year a lot of attention will be paid to Horse. Which leaves only left-over energy for Rat. Little Rat doesn't want to get trampled by all this crazy energy. And you don't just want to survive, you want to prosper.
The solution is to distract the Horse from taking your energy. One great distraction is a Tiger. The Tiger is an animal that is both friendly to Horse and to you, born year of the Rat.
